About Sharma Paan

Rakesh Sharma Fresh Paan

Born in Delhi and raised in Mumbai, a Chartered Accountant by profession — Rakesh Sharma can be described as a complete food enthusiast and an avid Paan lover! His fixation and passion for paans started while he lived in India and visited the paan shop almost 2–3 times a day. The paan shop visits and enjoying the paan treats became his favourite time of the day.

Pursuit of further education of his children brought Sharma to New Zealand in 2000. The foodie in him set out to explore a decent Paan all over Auckland from Papatoetoe to Sandringham, but to his dismay nothing came close to the standards of Paan he was spoilt enjoying in India.

Dejected, but not defeated — on his next visit to India he made sure to learn the basics and get all the recipes from the famous Paan makers of Mumbai. Our aim is to provide you with the exotic Indian Paan experience in your home away from home in New Zealand.

Wrapping up the story, all we can say is that our little niche company exudes finesse to our craft. Some might say it's too soon to conclude on where Sharma's journey is headed, but as they say a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step — we have for sure taken those initial steps, or may we say leaps!
